At Smart Bottoms, we believe that small changes — like choosing cloth — can make a big difference.
Founded in 2010, Smart Bottoms was born from a simple but powerful idea: that every baby deserves the very best start, and that caring for our little ones should also mean caring for the world they’ll grow up in.
Our award-winning line of cloth diapers and accessories are designed with families in mind — thoughtfully made, sustainably sourced, and built to last. But our mission goes far beyond diapers. We’re here to build a community that supports parents, protects the planet, and gives back with love.
Our Founder
Christy Malone, our founder and CEO, started Smart Bottoms as a mom determined to make cloth diapering easier and more accessible for modern families. Her vision was fueled by a deep belief in the power of connection — between parents, between communities, and between the choices we make and the future we create.

Re:Love — Our Legacy of Giving
Giving has been woven into Smart Bottoms’ story from the very beginning. Through our Re:Love program, we partner with orphanages, disaster relief organizations, and family support agencies around the world to provide cloth diapers, washing machines, and other essentials to families in need.
The name Re:Love reflects how we respond — we reply with love in every situation. When families face hardship, we send hope. When the planet needs care, we offer sustainable solutions. Every act of giving is a message: love always answers back.

Here at home, our Nominate a Family initiative extends the spirit of Re:Love across the U.S.
Community members can nominate families who could benefit from a full cloth diaper kit — providing them with a sustainable, affordable way to care for their babies.
